Imagine a Pakistan bowler doing that to Kohli: Aakash Chopra

Yashasvi Jaiswal's unbeaten 98 off 47 balls helped Rajasthan Royals clinch a crucial two points

Former India cricketer, Aakash Chopra, expressed his displeasure after Kolkata Knight Riders spinner, Suyash Sharma, attempted to deny Rajasthan Royals batter, Yashasvi Jaiswal, reaching his century in the IPL 2023 match.

Jaiswal's unbeaten 98* off 47 balls helped Rajasthan Royals clinch a crucial two points at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

The batter had broken the record for the fastest half-century in the IPL and was well on his way to reach his second century of the season.

However, Suyash bowled a wide with just four runs required, making it difficult for Jaiswal to achieve his ton.

Aakash took to Twitter to criticize Suyash, calling it "poor taste." He also cited an example of how people would react if a Pakistan bowler had done the same to Virat Kohli.

“Trying to bowl a wide to prevent Yashasvi from getting to his 100….poor taste IMHO,” Aakash tweeted.

“Imagine a Pakistan bowler doing that to prevent Kohli from getting to his century. The same people who are giving gyan on how it’s absolutely okay…and that it wasn’t deliberate…will ensure that that bowler starts trending in minutes. Trolling level hi alag hota tab. Typical Twitter behaviour IMO,” he added.

Yashasvi Jaiswal on Thursday hit the fastest 50 in Indian Premier League history, in just 13 balls, as Rajasthan Royals hammered Kolkata Knight Riders by nine wickets.

Jaiswal hit six fours and three sixes on his way to his 50 in front of a stunned Eden Gardens, beating the previous record of 14 balls held jointly by KL Rahul and Pat Cummins.
